Name: Jamie Newland
Years Coaching: I come to Greenon softball with 6 years of coaching experience at both the high school and travel level. Prior to coaching, I played Varsity Softball, competitive travel ball, and collegiate softball.
🥎What drew you to the opportunity to coach softball at Greenon?
I have been wanting to get back into coaching high school, and after umpiring a few games for the Enon Youth softball program I realized how much effort was getting put into the softball community. When the position opened up I felt like it was a perfect fit.
🥎Can you share your coaching philosophy and plan to instill it here at Greenon?
My coaching philosophy is to create a positive environment and program that encourages athletes to learn and succeed both on and off the playing field.
🥎What are your short and long term goals?
Short term, I want to build a fundamentally sound program that continues to improve year after year.
Long term, I want to have a program that shows up to the conference tournament with the expectation of winning ball games.

The #GreenonKnights Wind Ensemble performed in the Wintergarden at the Schuster Performing Arts Center before the Nutcracker. They attended the ballet following their performance.

🎶 Holiday cheer filled the air during yesterday's 6-12 grade band concert. Our students treated their families and our #GreenonKnights community to festive holiday tunes🎄❄️ Great job to our students for sharing the magic of the season with us! 🎺🥁
🎅What a magical morning! The Greenon Knights PTO Breakfast with Santa was a huge success! Yesterday, families enjoyed a morning of holiday cheer, complete with singing with Santa, pancakes, donuts, fruit, coffee, and orange juice. After breakfast, they made magical reindeer food and ornaments, make and take hot chocolate, and wrote letters to Santa!
A huge thank you to the Greenon girls basketball team for their volunteerism and community service! These student-athletes helped set up, served pancakes, worked craft stations, and made the morning extra special for everyone.
We are so grateful for our incredible community for attending, our student athlete volunteers, and the PTO for hosting such a joyful event to kick off the last week of school before break! 🎄

Students from Mrs. Wessels’ class had a festive time at the 102nd Springfield Rotary Club Christmas Party! They enjoyed playing games, creating crafts, and even got a chance to meet Santa.
