Congratulations to our #GreenonKnights Wind Ensemble for earning a rating of Superior, which is the highest rating possible at the OMEA State Adjudicated Event at Troy High School on Friday evening! We are so proud of this talented group of students!🎶

Yesterday we hosted the Dayton Dragons MVP Program at our school! Our #GreenonKnights 4th graders had a blast learning what it means to be an MVP from Gem the mascot and current Dragons players! Don’t forget—TONIGHT is our Dayton Dragons Elementary Night Out! Come support our high school choir as they perform the national anthem before the game. Let’s go Dragons and go Knights!

Mrs. Martin challenged her 5th graders to learn where all 50 states are on the map—and they delivered! 14 students nailed it with perfect maps and were treated to a special 🐔Chick-fil-A lunch 🐔courtesy of Mrs. Martin. Way to go #GreenonKnights 5th graders!

Our building was buzzing with 🌎 Day fun! Kindergarten students created crafts, and Greenon’s Science National Honor Society visited Mrs. Lambert’s class to share all about Earth Day and the importance of recycling. Together, they made flowers using recycled materials—plastic bottles became flower stamps, and cardboard and paper scraps transformed into leaves and stems.

The #GreenonKnights Drama Club crushed it with their recent production of Law and Order: Fairy Tale Unit, Rhymes and Misdemeanors! A great job to the entire cast and crew!

Today, Superintendent Mr. Knapke and Treasurer Mr. Whitaker had the opportunity to meet with local Representative Dean to give him a tour of our K-12 campus, and discuss the future of Greenon Local Schools. We’re thankful for his time and support as we work together to create success for our #GreenonKnights students and community!

Our Up All Knight coffee shop crew now has matching t-shirts for their Coffee Cart deliveries! Mrs. Godsey’s #GreenonKnights students are proudly serving up caffeine and smiles in style every Friday!

It’s the last day of Assistant Principals Week, and we couldn’t let it pass without shouting out the BEST! Thank you, Mr. Shaner and Mr. Jewell, for all you do to support our students, staff, and #GreenonKnights community every single day! We appreciate you!

Reminder! Greenon Local Schools will hold a special Board of Education meeting this Monday at 7:00 PM in the Greenon Elementary cafeteria. During the meeting, the Board will discuss potential funding options for district projects, including the possible use of funds from the proposed levy. A scheduled recess will also allow attendees to tour the unfinished space in the Elementary Wing of the K-12 campus. Public participation is welcome, and all community members are encouraged to attend. Come be a part of this important conversation about the future of our schools!

🎤✨ Greenon's Got Talent 2025! Out of 15 #GreenonKnights auditions, 8 top acts took the stage, selected by our judging panel. Students cast their votes, which were combined with scores from our judges—Mayor Tim Howard and alum Brenda Sweet—to crown the winner! 🏆 1st Place: The band SNOOG (Noah Cornish, Zach Grubbs, and Alex Martinez) rocked the stage! 🥈 2nd Place: The amazing Kate Hayes wowed the crowd! A huge shoutout to all our talented performers who showed their talent💫

Our #GreenonKnights 1st graders celebrated the being 120 days smarter last Thursday with games and activities including the number 120! Why 120? Because their big goal is to count to and write to 120 before the year is over— and they’re making amazing progress! Keep up the great work, 1st graders!

Our #GreenonKnights wind ensemble qualified for state after receiving a superior rating at the OMEA district 12 contest at West Carrollton High School on Friday night. Their state contest will be held on April 25 at Troy High School. Congratulations to our talented musicians!🎶

Congratulations to Freshman Violet Breland and Senior Addy Ricketts 🎨 Both participated in the Ohio Governor's Youth Art Exhibition. The Governor’s show is a prestigious show which features artwork for Ohio high schools students in grades 9-12. Participants must go through two rounds of rigorous judging to make the final show. Addy’s Painting, “Hiding in Hues” made it to the state level. Violet’s paintings “Nostalgia's Glow” and “The Little Mechanic” made it into the top 260 with “Nostalgia’s Glow” making into the top 25. Violet will be honored at an awards ceremony in Columbus on May 4th where they will announce the overall winner. Congratulations to both Violet and Addy!!

Our #GreenonKnights 4th graders took a hands-on dive into geography! Students mixed, shaped, and painted salt dough to create and identify Ohio distinct regions! Huge shoutout to our local Domino's 🍕for the donation of all the pizza boxes!

Good morning, Coach Heath invites those interested in trying out for 7th/8th Cheer for next year to follow the link below to submit your information so she can build a contact list ahead of the scheduled tryout date of 4/18 at 5pm. There will be clinic dates from 4/14-4/17 from 5-7pm. The attached flyer has more detailed information; all activities will take place in the elementary gym. Please note that registration closes on 4/13 at 8pm and all of those intending to attend the clinics and tryouts must be registered. In order to attend clinic/tryouts, your student must have a physical on file.
