Addelynn Ricketts receiving award on stage

Greenon Local Schools is proud to announce that senior Addelynn Ricketts has been named the recipient of the MLK Peacekeeper Award. This honor recognizes students who embody the principles of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., by fostering inclusion, resolving conflicts positively, and encouraging collaboration among peers from all backgrounds and abilities.

Addelyn and nine other Clark County students accepted their awards during the annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Luncheon and Awards Ceremony on Friday, January 17, 2025.

Addelynn is a student leader who plans to attend the University of Akron to pursue a degree in graphic design. Throughout her time at Greenon, she has been a member of both the Spanish Honor Society and the National Honor Society, and she currently serves as president of Sources of Strength, a national program aimed at preventing suicide, violence, bullying, and substance abuse.

Greenon Local Schools is proud to celebrate Addelynn’s achievements and her commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive Greenon Knights community. She truly embodies the characteristics of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., and we are so proud of her for being a role model both in and out of the classroom.
