Posted on 12/13/2017
Beginning January 3, 2018, Enon Primary and Indian Valley students who pay full price for lunch will pay $1.75 for breakfast as required by the state of Ohio. Students who receive free or reduced lunch benefits are not affected by this notice. They will continue to receive free breakfast.

The Ohio Department of Education has notified all 612 school districts in the state of Ohio that students who pay full price for lunch must also pay full price for breakfast.

Beginning January 3, 2018, Enon Primary and Indian Valley students who pay full price for lunch will pay $1.75 for breakfast. Students who receive free or reduced lunch benefits are not affected by this notice. They will continue to receive free breakfast.

If you believe your family will qualify for free or reduced lunch, applications can be filled out any time and are available in the school office and cafeteria. Please fill one out if you think your student may qualify for benefits.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause for your family. Changes in the middle of the school year are never ideal and we try to avoid them whenever possible, but we are required to comply with the state’s order to discontinue the common Universal Breakfast practice.

The Greenon Food Service Department will continue to diligently look for ways to keep meal prices affordable for families whenever possible. If you have any questions about this mandated change, please contact John Gummel at jgummel@greenonschools.org.
