Miss Hall, who was nominated for the award by parents and colleagues, is one of four 2018 recipients of the Excellence in Teaching Award. The award is given annually to outstanding teachers by the Rotary Club of Springfield.
Carrie Hall teaches first grade at Enon Primary.
"Miss Hall is an outstanding educator who connects and engages with her students and their families to make first grade a great experience for every student in her classroom," said Enon Principal Darrin Knapke. "She is a dedicated teacher who wants the best for her students, the school, and the district, and collaborates with her colleagues to create meaningful, hands-on experiences for students."
Miss Hall has taught for 18 years, including 15 years at Greenon Local Schools. She is a graduate of Bowling Green State University and holds a Master's degree in Teaching from Marygrove College.
"Teaching at Greenon has given me the opportunity to build relationships with so many wonderful families in the community. I've been so fortunate to have taught in a place that allows me to do what I believe is best for my students," said Miss Hall. "Teaching is a huge part of who I am, not just what I do. It's an honor to be recognized by the Rotary Club and I'm proud to work at GLS!"
Miss Hall will be recognized along with the other recipients at the March 19 Rotary Club meeting.
